Job Overview

Wings Technical Services W.L.L. is seeking an experienced Carpenter Foreman with strong shuttering and formwork experience to join a construction project in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising carpentry and shuttering activities, coordinating manpower, ensuring accurate formwork installation, and maintaining quality and safety standards at the worksite. Candidates should have proven experience in shuttering/formwork works, team supervision, construction drawings, site coordination, and construction safety requirements. GCC or Qatar experience will be an advantage. The position is suitable for an experienced Carpenter Foreman who can effectively manage site activities and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily shuttering and formwork activities at the construction site.
Lead and manage carpenters, shuttering carpenters, and helpers.
Read and interpret construction drawings, formwork layouts, and specifications.
Ensure proper alignment, level, dimensions, and installation of shuttering works.
Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and other construction teams.
Plan and allocate manpower according to daily work requirements.
Monitor work progress and ensure activities are completed within the planned schedule.
Inspect formwork before concrete pouring and rectify any defects or discrepancies.
Ensure proper handling, storage, and availability of shuttering materials and tools.
Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality.
Ensure compliance with site safety procedures, PPE requirements, and safe working practices.
Identify and resolve site-related carpentry and formwork issues.
Report daily work progress, manpower requirements, and material requirements to the site management.
Ensure proper dismantling and removal of formwork after concrete works, as per project requirements.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a Carpenter Foreman.
Strong and proven experience in shuttering and formwork works.
Previous experience supervising carpenters and construction workers.
Ability to read and understand construction drawings and formwork layouts.
Good knowledge of formwork installation, alignment, leveling, and dismantling.
Knowledge of construction site safety procedures and PPE requirements.
Ability to coordinate effectively with site engineers, supervisors, and other trades.
Strong leadership, manpower management, and problem-solving skills.
Physically fit and capable of working in a construction site environment.
GCC / Qatar construction experience is preferred.
Relevant trade certification or technical qualification will be an advantage.
Candidates currently available in Qatar will be preferred.
