SAFETY OFFICER – CONSTRUCTION & CIVIL

Job Overview

Wings Technical Services W.L.L. is hiring an experienced Safety Officer for a construction and civil project in Doha, Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and monitoring site HSE requirements, ensuring compliance with safety procedures, identifying workplace hazards and promoting safe working practices across construction activities. The position requires a qualified safety professional with mandatory NEBOSH IGC certification and proven experience in construction and civil projects. The candidate should have strong knowledge of risk assessments, JSA, toolbox talks, site inspections, incident reporting and Permit-to-Work requirements. The position offers a salary of QAR 5,000 on a full package basis, with 10 hours of duty per day. Candidates currently available in Qatar are preferred.

Responsibilities

• mplement and monitor site HSE policies, procedures and safety standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections and identify potential hazards and unsafe conditions.
• Monitor construction and civil activities to ensure compliance with approved safety procedures.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions and safety awareness sessions.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and compliance with safe working practices.
• Support risk assessments, Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Permit-to-Work requirements.
• Investigate incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Prepare and maintain HSE reports, inspection records and incident documentation.
• Coordinate with project management, supervisors and site teams on all HSE-related matters.
• Follow up on corrective actions and ensure timely closure of identified safety observations.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with applicable HSE requirements.
